Registration for the EDCTP Forum is open until 28 February 2027.

Under the theme Innovating together for resilient global health, the 13th edition of the EDCTP Forum will take place in Madrid, Spain, on 5-9 April 2027 at the IFEMA Palacio Municipal.

1,500 global health stakeholders are expected to attend in person, including policymakers, researchers, regulators, and R&D partners primarily from Africa and Europe. 

The event will be hosted by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) under the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Fundación CSAI (FCSAI) under the Ministry of Health and is co-organised by Global Health EDCTP3 and the EDCTP Association.

Participation in the Forum

Participation in the EDCTP Forum 2027 is free of charge. Participants are responsible for organising their own travel, accommodation, visa, and insurance arrangements, as well as covering the associated costs (except for invited delegates sponsored by Global Health EDCTP3 and scholarship recipients).

Registration for the EDCTP Forum 2027 includes:

  • Access to all sessions, including the opening and closing ceremonies, plenary sessions, parallel sessions, scientific symposia, sponsored satellite meetings, workshops, networking activities and field visits (subject to availability)
  • Access to the exhibitors and poster presentations area
  • Meals and social events as indicated in the Forum programme
  • A Forum bag
  • Digital certificate of attendance provided after the event.

Registration of presenting authors of abstracts, scientific symposia and workshops

Authors of submitted abstracts (including scholarship candidates) and chairs or speakers of scientific symposia and workshop proposals are advised to wait until the evaluations of their respective applications are completed and the outcomes are communicated before registering for the EDCTP Forum 2027. 

Selected participants will receive additional registration instructions after the evaluation process is concluded in December 2026. For more details about the abstracts, scientific symposia and workshops evaluation procedure, please refer to the respective pages on the EDCTP Forum website.

Multiple registrations

The system will not accept multiple registrations with the same email address.

Confirmation of registration

Delegates will receive an automatic email upon the successful submission of their registration. They are advised not to make any travel arrangements until they have received a confirmation email indicating that their registration has been accepted. 

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@edctpforum.eu. Global Health EDCTP3 will not be responsible for refunding airfare, hotel or any other costs incurred.

Substitution policy 

If a delegate is unable to attend the Forum, the registrant may request to transfer the registration to another person by contacting info@edctpforum.eu before 28 February 2027.
