Programme

The Forum programme will be crafted around the theme ‘Better health through global research partnerships’.

The programme of this year’s Forum comprises a wide range of topics of clinical research covering poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases, within the scope of the Global Health EDCTP3 programme. The Forum plenary sessions will feature invited speakers who are leaders in their respective areas of research. The parallel sessions and poster sessions will consist of abstract-driven oral and poster presentations. A number of these oral and poster presenters will be early career investigators and scientists working in the field of EDCTP, who will receive support to participate in the Forum through our scholarship programme.

The ‘Meet the experts’ session will give young researchers the possibility to attend group meetings with leading experts in the field of poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases. The sessions will offer an opportunity for informal discussions, and will allow young researchers to present their questions and gain knowledge.

Scientific symposia will be organised by groups of researchers or organisations on a variety of topics related to the Forum theme, promoting interactive discussions and exchange of views with Forum delegates. Forum delegates will also have the opportunity to participate in workshop sessions for training and development targeted at junior researchers, EDCTP2 and Global Health EDCTP3 grant holders and fellows.
