The main programme will run over five days, from 5-9 April 2027, and is expected to include:

• Plenary sessions with keynote addresses delivered by leading international scientists and policymakers.
• Parallel sessions consisting of abstract-driven oral presentations organised according to thematic areas linked to the Forum theme.
• Scientific symposia organised by groups of researchers or organisations on topics related to the Forum theme.
• Prize-giving ceremonies awarding the winners of the EDCTP Prizes competition.
• A poster exhibition drawing from the abstract submitted.
• Sponsored satellite sessions and workshops.
• Countless networking opportunities such as the 'Meet the experts' and one-to-one meetings.
• Field visits to research centres in and around Madrid.
