The event will be hosted by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) under the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Fundación CSAI (FCSAI) under the Ministry of Health and is co-organised by Global Health EDCTP3 and the EDCTP Association.

The biennial EDCTP Forum is a cornerstone event for global health research, bringing together leading voices advancing the fight against infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. It showcases the latest scientific breakthroughs, highlights impactful capacity-building efforts, and creates a space for vibrant cross-regional collaboration.

The opening ceremony will take place on 5 April 2027 and will be followed by four days of scientific programme from 6-9 April 2027. These will include plenary sessions, parallel sessions, prize-giving ceremonies, an exhibition of posters, scientific symposia, workshops, field visits and countless opportunities for networking.

Participation in the Forum
Participation in the EDCTP Forum 2027 is free of charge. Participants are responsible for organising their own travel, accommodation, visa, and insurance arrangements, as well as covering the associated costs (except for invited delegates sponsored by Global Health EDCTP3 and scholarship recipients).
Registration for the EDCTP Forum 2027 includes:
- Access to all sessions, including the opening and closing ceremonies, plenary sessions, parallel sessions, scientific symposia, sponsored satellite meetings, workshops, networking activities and field visits (subject to availability)
- Access to the exhibitors and poster presentations area
- Meals and social events as indicated in the Forum programme
- A Forum bag
- Digital certificate of attendance provided after the event.
Registration of presenting authors of abstracts, scientific symposia and workshops
Authors of submitted abstracts (including scholarship candidates) and chairs or speakers of scientific symposia and workshop proposals are advised to wait until the evaluations of their respective applications are completed and the outcomes are communicated before registering for the EDCTP Forum 2027.
