About the health facility
Founded in 1990, Kicukiro Health Centre serves 49,972 people across 56 villages in Kicukiro District. It operates two health posts for outpatient services and minor surgeries. The centre employs 38 staff members and works with 174 community health workers (CHWs) to provide comprehensive primary healthcare. The centre was the first to test the national HIV Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) model, which was later implemented in facilities across the country. Additionally, it serves as a pilot model for digital health innovation aimed at primary healthcare.
